Web Design A Rocky Web Home Page

You need to consider the Search Engines even before you build your site. Your Search Engine results can be affected by various aspects of your web pages. This is a huge topic, so just a taste..

META tags are put into the code of your page. " Keywords" is the most used META tag. These are words and terms that identify your site's contents to the Engines. A lot of these words should also be incorporated into the text on your page as a lot of Engines rank by the text content of your site (Note: DO NOT repeat the same words over and over in your Keyword tag and text content as some search engines will drop you completely for what is considered unethical practices). The title of your page that appears in the top section of your browser is also important. The "Alt" tags that appear when you put your mouse over an image on a web page are also read. Sometimes tradeoffs have to be made; Engines like text that isn't in a table but the layout you want usually requires tables, they also don't like images, frames,  JavaScript, and more but you might want these things anyway.

Now that you are really confused you can Put it all Together ...
